ABOUT ME

Moved to Munich in 1997 with the ambition of becoming a director or at least an editor.

From intern to producer as Ernst Kalff's right-hand man at REM RapidEyeMovement. Many McDonald's films, lots of tabletop, many SFX and VFX shoots. My first directorial works indicate that I am better at organizing than directing. Important insight, dear colleagues, you were spared a lot...

From 2001 a long period as a freelance production manager and producer for commercials, alternating with long travels and surf trips.  Excursions into feature film and location manager for a TV series with Senta Berger and the grandees of German television at that time. Followed by two prizewinning cinema documentaries and script development, funding and financing for two feature film projects with director Michael Verhoeven. Here, too, I realized that complex co-productions can be very long-winded and that I prefer shorter, more intense projects.

I continued to work in advertising as a freelance producer and repeatedly as an assistant director. Then in 2010 I was hired as a producer at Embassy of Dreams for almost four years. Separation in friendship. But after three years as key account producer for the client E.ON in times of the energy transition and the birth of our first son, the decision was made to move back to our hometown. And to sail out of our home port Goettingen in the heart of Germany under the freelancer flag again.

We have ecologically renovated an old half-timbered house here in the countryside, from my office I look out over a beautiful valley and enjoy spending a lot of time together with my two boys. And the perfect all-round family care for them allows me to work and travel much more relaxed.
